Mr. Paul Gordon Cooke

Mr. Paul is an experienced teacher who has lived and worked in Thailand and Asia for the last 13 years. He was born and educated in New Zealand where he gained degrees in Social Sciences from the University of Waikato. His broad experience includes working as an intelligence analyst for an Australian Police Force, a lecturer in the B.Ed. English Program of Udon Thani Rajabhat University and teaching Senior High School English at a top Australian school’s campus in China.

He is a dynamic and enthusiastic teacher who is skilled at developing rapport with students. He has over 13 years of experience in classrooms and his wide-ranging experience leaves him with an understanding of the world that serves well in many different classroom situations. “I am passionate about helping students to understand ideas. I firmly believe that being able to reproduce rote answers is a poor substitute for learning how to find answers, think about concepts and problems and produce solutions based on investigation and critical thinking.”
